West Mill has been in the family since 1938. As our home, it has been constantly updated over the years. We have recently improved the larger studio, open plan, and created a new one beneath the terrace.  The main house sleeps 6, the large studio up to 4, and the new studio a further 2. The oak framed extension provides a wonderful light and airy reception room with panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding valley.

The house is comfortably furnished and decorated with a personal collection of contemporary art and tribal rugs. There are books and games but no TV. However a DVD player is available, and broadband is connected with wifi. Cooking is by electric cooker and an oil-fired Rayburn which also heats water. The new extension has underfloor heating and a woodburning stove.

In main house:

Bedroom one:   6 foot double bed; can be converted to 2 singles
Bedroom two:   5 foot double bed
Bedroom three: twin beds
Bathroom one:  Bath with separate shower
Bathroom two:  Bath with shower over

Health and Safety

There are steep steps, high drops, and sloping areas throughout the garden and on the track to the beach. An unfenced stream runs through the garden, and small children need to be supervised at all times.
